Our Story
Our adobe building was built in 1938 and has been home to several businesses. Most recently it was the beloved Carmen’s Café, a Mexican food restaurant that my mother, Carmen, owned and ran for many years. After my mother retired, I bought the building and decided to turn it into a European-style boutique hotel. I was able to convert the building into six bedrooms, which was happenstance, because Carmen has six children. So, each room is named after each of Carmen’s children: Elia, Elsie (me), Ruben, Leticia, Tomas, and Armando.
Our Hotel
Our hotel is unique in that we’ve completely remodeled an old adobe building and converted it into a small hotel with six private rooms.
When we say European-style we mean that some rooms are fully self-contained and have their own bathroom and shower inside of the suite. Other rooms have a bathroom and shower that are not directly connected to the room but are just outside the door. Every room has its own private and secured door. All of our rooms come with their own Smart TV, mini-fridge and freezer, coffee machine and supplies, microwave oven, dedicated AC unit and other amenities.
There is also a shared common area that is akin to a living room or equivalent to a hotel lobby. We have a modern couch and seating where our guests can relax or work. We have free Wi-Fi throughout the property.
Our outside patio area is a shared space and our guests can make full use of our covered seating area, picnic table, benches and BBQ grilling station.
We have a dedicated private and secure parking lot with spaces reserved for our guests.
